The idea
Five days let you keep two company: the wide interior, with its cork oaks, wine and very dark nights, and the Atlantic coast, where rice fields give way to pale sand and empty dunes. We base you twice — once inland, once near the water — and leave the days deliberately open. The ideas below are doors we can open in any order, or leave shut; what matters is that the week belongs to you.

The great lake and its dark skies
A dusk boat on the Alqueva, a village above the water, and, with an astronomy guide, the Milky Way in a sky recognised as among the darkest in Europe.
A morning with the makers
Potters, weavers, cork factories, tile studios — choose the craft that interests you and spend a morning inside it, hands-on and unhurried.
The coast at Comporta
Rice fields, salt flats, storks and a long pale beach. Ride on the sand, walk the dunes, or eat grilled fish with your feet nearly in the Atlantic.
Riding or walking the montado
On horseback, by bike or on foot with a shepherd: a morning moving through the oaks at the pace the landscape was built for.
A day for whatever the group wants
Held open on purpose. Some fill it with a second wine morning; some spend it doing nothing at all. Both are right.

What does “starting from” mean?
The prices shown are starting points for two people travelling together, in the quieter seasons and with our preferred stays. Your final price depends on your dates, the size of your group and the stays and experiences we choose together, and we confirm it in writing before anything is arranged.
Are these trips fixed plans?
No. Each trip is a length and a set of open ideas, not a schedule. Nothing on the page is booked in advance; we shape the days around your dates, your pace and what you would like more or less of.
What is included in the price?
Your private driver and guide, all accommodation, breakfast daily and the meals we plan together, every experience and tasting on the route, and all transport from Lisbon airport. Anything not yet chosen is discussed openly before you decide.
Does the price book anything?
No. Nothing is booked and nothing is charged on this site. An enquiry starts a conversation with our Lisbon team, and every proposal is shared with you separately, for you to consider at your own pace.
